This lecture focuses on the five subdivisions of Vata (Panchavata) and their specific locations and functions: 🔹 Prana Vata – Controls respiration, swallowing, perception, intellect, and higher mental functions. 🔹 Udana Vata – Responsible for speech, enthusiasm, memory, strength, and upward movements such as exhalation. 🔹 Vyana Vata – Regulates circulation, locomotion, muscle movements, and the distribution of nutrients throughout the body. 🔹 Samana Vata – Governs digestion, separation of nutrients from waste, and proper functioning of Agni. 🔹 Apana Vata – Controls elimination of urine and feces, menstruation, ejaculation, childbirth, and all downward movements.
