Taconic Crest Trail | NEU8

What an epic day! I have psyched myself out with this hike a few times due to the distance, but I decided to finally go for it! I am so glad I did, locking in NEU8 #3! This turned out to be one of my strongest efforts I've done yet, despite some discomfort with chafing towards the end, my body felt good the entire way through. I was able to maintain a solid pace, running the downs, power hiking the flats, and pacing the ups. 37.3 miles, 8,963' of gain, 11:23 moving time, and 12:52 total time! I was planning to do this hike in conjunction with the bi-annual Taconic Hiking Club's End-To-End challenge, earning an additional 2 patches, but unfortunately, it was cancelled due to the weather forecast. I still wanted to get after it, so I went out the day before!
