Destroyed Focus Cluster PCM synchro + Keys + Mileage Correction on bench

Here we have a challenging evenings work! - So we were sent an instrument cluster from a Ford Focus MK2 which we regularly refurbish, problem being that the customer had already had a 'friend' have a go at repairing it.. sadly he / she obviously has little to no experience in fixing circuit boards, there was all sorts of solder 'bridges', trashed components - even the main processor had lots of legs soldered together!!. We set about firstly trying to repair the cluster enough to clone it to a 2nd hand unit the customer provided, sadly it had been completely destroyed! So, we had the customer send in his keys & engine ECU so we could program it all together on the bench... Which would of been OK if he had supplied the same type of cluster, for some reason he managed to supply a replacement cluster in KM & his cluster was in Miles!! So after we had re-flashed the donor unit to Miles & refurbished it we then set about the programming operations needed to get his car up & running again, as well as correcting the mileage to the correct reading.
