Anne-Marie Mulgrew and Dancers Company The Living Museum 2026

The opening work from Anne-Marie Mulgrew and Dancers Company's 40th Anniversary Concert Sea of Memories June 26-27, 2026. The Performance Garage, Phila PA The Living Museum (2026) premiere Do you enjoy museums? What makes them special and memorable? The Living Museum is inspired by visiting a favorite museum. Instead of permanent/static works of art, The Living Museum features seven dancers performing iconic moments from AMM & DCO’s performance history. Earlier reiterations appeared at our 20th and 30th Anniversary concerts. Here, we further developed the concept for the concert stage. The audience is invited to an immersive experience by joining the dancers on stage. They are invited to take a tour with a docent/narrator, observe from the stage or in the audience. Photos are encouraged. We invite you to enjoy the intimacy and recuring themes, props, and motifs that have appeared in the Company’s work and how they have been transformed over time. Honoring the spirit of the museum’s opening exhibit, Anne-Marie will be available for any questions or to chat. The Living Museum features seven activities (imagine seven different worlds) performed simultaneously for ten minutes.
