I'm traveling from Batumi to Kutaisi and seeing the city through the eyes of an ordinary person, not a guidebook. I check into the hotel, show everyone what everything really looks like, and go to dinner—without any pomp or fancy stories. Next, a stroll through the city center: the central square, the city park, Soviet architecture, the river, which I truly didn't expect to see. I take the cable car up, stroll along the observation deck, ride the Ferris wheel, and then descend back into the city. I stop by the market: I try local wine and chacha, and see how the city lives without tourist filters and big words. Finally, I head out of town to a monastery on a cliff. A quiet place that says a lot about Kutaisi and Georgia itself. This video isn't about "where to go."
