It has now been decided that such references shall be processed at seven Regional Offices of the Reserve Bank as specified in the following paragraph, with effect from April 01, 2026. AD banks, which were hitherto forwarding such references to the Central Office of the Reserve Bank, are now advised to submit the same to the designated Regional Offices through PRAVAAH portal of the Reserve Bank as per the UIN (Unique Identification Number of the foreign entity) mapping Risk Management and Inter-Bank Dealings (Revised) Authorised Dealers shall not offer non-deliverable derivative contracts involving INR to resident or non-resident users. Authorised Dealers may, however, continue to offer deliverable foreign exchange derivative contracts to users to meet their hedging requirements provided that the user does not undertake offsetting non-deliverable derivative positions. Authorised Dealers shall not permit a user to rebook any foreign exchange derivative contract involving INR, whether deliverable or non-deliverable, which is cancelled after the date of issuance of these instructions. Authorised Dealers shall not undertake any foreign exchange derivative contract involving INR with their related parties Risk Management and Inter-Bank Dealings On a review, it has now been decided to withdraw the instructions issued in Circular dated April 01, 2026. Further, it has been decided that Authorised Dealers shall not undertake any foreign exchange derivative contract involving INR with their related parties except for the following: (i) cancellation and rollover of existing contracts; and (ii) transactions undertaken with non-related non-resident users on a back-to-back basis Memorandum of Instructions governing money changing activities – Location of Forex Counters in International Airports in India On a review, it has been decided to allow residents (along with non-residents) to exchange Indian Rupee notes at foreign exchange counters at the departure halls in the international airports established in the Duty-Free Area or Security Hold Area beyond the Immigration or Customs desk.
