I've been curious about helical planer head upgrades, but the upgrade process appeared daunting, and the price premium was a lot. Turns out that the installation, while detailed, is really not that hard. My overall first impressions are very positive. The cut quality is beautiful, the install process was straightforward, and it is more affordable than the others upgrades that I know of.
