How I Grew Morel Mushrooms in My Yard

I love morel hunting. Three years ago, I began to inoculate a tree in my yard with morel mushrooms in the hopes that I could cultivate morels. In this video, I show you how to grow morels in your yard. If you are into mushroom cultivation, mushroom foraging, fungi and mycology, or just enjoy eating morels, consider trying this method for yourself. My goal is to transform my yard from a barren city lot with only lawn into a place for life of all sorts. Along with converting my front lawn into a native pollinator garden, I have been turning my backyard into a place to grow food. While I have now successfully grown yellow morels (Morchella americana), I would like to cultivate black morels (Morchella angusticeps) and half free morels (Morchella punctipes) in the future.
