A Volvo 144 passing the Kim Il Sung square in Pyongyang
In 1973 Volvo recieved an order for 600 Volvo 144 in different colours. The cars were delivered in 1974. Volvo was guaranteed payment by the Swedish government, which offcourse never got paid by the North Koreans. I also recommend: "Rush Hour in central Pyongyang" • "Rush Hour" in central Pyongyang (DPRK) "Mighty North Korean ten lane highway" • Mighty North Korean ten lane highway (DPRK) "Propaganda car in Pyongyang" • Propaganda car in Pyongyang (DPRK)
