Our Forest Campaign’s latest report revealed traders paying to ship illicit Myanmar teak into Europe via the back door. In trying to sneak the banned timber in via Croatia, the move sought to skirt EU import rules so the traders can get their hands on it for high-paying clients to use for luxury products in the marine sector, such as superyacht decking.
