Garfield by Konami
Details Title: Garfield Manufacturer: Konami Inc. Series: Handheld Release Date: 1991 Screen: Liquid Crystal Display Chipset: Sharp SM511 ( 32.768 kHz ) Description Odie's gotten Garfield into another fine mess in this 1991 handheld electronic LCD game from Konami. That pea-brained pooch has gone and got himself marooned on the moon! And nothing alarms Garfield more, except maybe an alarm clock! With your help, Garfield's got to rescue him. Gameplay For starters, press the On/Start switch. The screen will display the high score. Now it's time to think fast, because in this topsy turvy world it's raining flower pots, old boots, garbage can lids and rotten tomatoes. Steer clear, or it'll be goodbye kitty. But keep an eye out for the chicken because Odie will drop you a few roasted pieces to help you out. Eat 'em up and get some life back. Every bit of life is precious because contrary to popular belief, this cat's only got FOUR lives. Watch out for good old Jon who will appear occasionally with a hot steamy pan of lasagna. When you see him, move all the way left towards him with the GO GARFIELD button (WASD or arrow keys), then press left to chow down. Get stuffed enough with three servings of lasagna and you'll fill your SUPER JUMP Meter. When (and only when) your meter is filled, you can press the POUNCE button (CTRL or Enter) and it's bang zoom to the moon to rescue Odie from his lunar lounge. Save Odie and you'll move up to a higher level. All 6 levels get tougher as you go, so you'll have to be quick on the button.
