Gyroplane near miss... We got lucky.

The unfortunate event occured in 2019 and is still haunting me when the airfield gets busy. Late afternoon flight across the Channel. Flight duration +/- 60 mins. Calais - Dover - Headcorn. RWY 28 : 1000 X 30 m Short landing due to activity at the end of the RWY and aircraft backtracking on TWY. We try to expediate to clear the RWY and upon reaching the TWY, almost get hit by aircraft landing behind us. No casualty. But substantial plane damage.
