4 out of 5 mums feel the pressure to ‘bounce back’. We recently asked over 15,000 mums from our community whether they’ve felt this pressure and 81% said yes. A statistic that makes us so upset and angry, but honestly, does not surprise us at the slightest. Society tells us to bounce back. But this needs to stop. The scary thing is, when told they could return to exercise, 83% of mums said they received little to no guidance how to do this safely. Not listening to your body postpartum and returning to exercise sooner than your body is ready, can have really negative long-term impacts on your health and well-being.
