Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay made a strong statement on the Karur stampede, saying that he trusted the police, but the blame for the tragedy was ultimately placed on him. Visiting Karur on Friday (July 10), he paid tribute to those who lost their lives and described the incident as a heartbreaking tragedy for the entire state. Vijay alleged that the disaster could have been prevented if the Karur Police had informed him in time about the rapidly growing crowd.
