Insulation Resistance Testing: What You Need to Know

Insulation Resistance Testing is one of those tests that electricians hate doing and the regulations don't really help either, even Amendment 2 really doesn't go far enough to address this test in modern homes. This is my take on how to do Insulation Resistance Testing. It's how I was taught and I've never been picked up on it by my NAPIT assessors as being incorrect. I will say this that Yes, I could join Line and Neutral together and test to Earth to get round equipment which mess up Line to Neutral readings (USB sockets for one).
