Airing on Live From Lincoln Center on PBS, Friday, April 26 at 9:00 pm (check local listings) Carousel was the second collaboration between composer Richard Rodgers and lyricist Oscar Hammerstein II. Together with their first hit, Oklahoma, it heralded a new era in American musical theater. The New York Philharmonic, with a star-studded cast including Kelli O'Hara, Nathan Gunn, Stephanie Blythe, Jessie Mueller, Jason Danieley, Shuler Hensley, Kate Burton and John Cullum, presents a shimmering full-orchestral version of this beloved classic.
