I Won a Surf Contest… But I Almost Quit After

Surfing in Phuket looks like a dream… 🌊 clean waves, sunshine, and perfect moments. But the reality of surf competitions? It’s very different. In this video, I’m sharing the real side of longboard surf competitions in Thailand—something most people don’t even know exists. Yes, we have surf contests here on both the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, but it’s not like the World Surf League with perfect waves and ideal conditions. Last year, I joined two surf competitions in Phuket. I won one of them… but I also felt burnt out and almost quit surfing. This video is not just about winning or losing. It’s about pressure, fear, challenge conditions, and what surfing really teaches you—mentally and emotionally. Surfing became more than just a sport for me. It’s therapy. It’s a teacher. It helped me reconnect with myself and with nature. If you’ve ever thought about joining a surf competition, starting surfing, or just want to see the real surf life in Thailand—this video is for you. 👉 My full competition day at Kamala Beach 2024 :    • SURF CONTEST l Kamala beach Phuket   👉 The full competition experience at Kalim Beach 2024 :    • kalim surf phuket, thailand surfing   If you enjoy real, honest surf stories (not just perfect Instagram moments), subscribe and follow along this journey 🌊 #surfthailand #phuketlife #surfcompetition #longboarding #surfgirls #surflife #oceanlover #surfingasia #beachlife #surfjourney #travelthailand #surfvideo Music from Pixabay
