LAGOON is a unique girl rock band comprised of a diverse group of members, including Takimoto, a paramedic, and a cafe employee. On this day, they performed their debut song, "Kimi no Matsu Sekai," released last year, and their second single, "KNOCKED-OUT BOY," due for release in May. Takimoto said of her new song, "It's a song that cutely knocks out boys who have made mistakes. I want everyone to remember it and sing along." Girls Award is an event hosted by Fuji TV and the Girls Award Executive Committee, and has been held twice a year since May 2010, with this year marking its 11th anniversary.
