Sketchbook: January - May 2018

My hand was a bit shaky during the first couple of pages, but it gets better later on! Also, the camera I used had a ten minute video limit? I luckily caught it right away, so the jumpcut is hopefully not too jarring. Tried not to linger too long on each page, while also giving a close-up and full-size shot as consistently as possible. Also, I really don't like re-using music, but I seriously didn't know where to start to search for fitting songs, like omg. I tried picking from the usual stuff, but the dark and serious sounding stuff made it look waaayy too "edgy" and "im so cool, ignore the flower pattern in the background and the occasional pretty scenery drawings, just look at all them edgy monsters omg im so brooding and dark". And picking upbeat, funky tunes immediately clashed with the slow pace of page-turning, and in turn really made the darker creature-stuff look silly. :C I really didn't expect collecting themed music for specific moods would come back to haunt me like that All my collections of music for videos is mainly with the intent to overlay on speedpaint-videos so I was really unprepared for this, WELP The tracks are entirely made by me, with at the very least one or two new songs. ---- Also, Not sure when the next sketchbook video would come out, I don't draw traditionally very often, and this was specifically done for a university application shrug :x
