Top 5 FREE Dispersed Camping Spots in Wyoming!

Looking for the best dispersed camping spots for your overlanding adventures in Wyoming? Watch this video to discover our top 5 locations for boondocking, overlanding, and car camping on BLM land, national forests, and more in the beautiful state of Wyoming! UPDATE as of 8/4/2025: The first site is a dispersed campsite on BLM land. It's not within in the boundary of the Bighorn NF. We made an error on that when we made the video a few years ago. The Worland BLM Field Office is the government entity responsible for that area. Their number is 307-347-5297. The site is located on the rim of Medicine Lodge Canyon above Medicine Lodge Creek, near the Wilderness Study Area off of Cold Springs Road. The Medicine Lodge Wilderness Study Area (WSA) does not have designated camping areas, and there are very few roads. However, you can camp for up to 14 days in any part of the wilderness area and surrounding BLM land unless there is a sign stating that it is prohibited. Additionally, there are nearby Bureau of Land Management campgrounds and other free camping options to consider. #Wyoming #HiddenGems #CampingDestinations #Top5 #ExploreWyoming #NatureLovers #OutdoorAdventures #MountainLife #CampingLife #TravelWyoming #Wilderness #ScenicViews #NaturePhotography #NationalParks #CampingTrip #AdventureAwaits #ExploreMore #OutdoorExploration #NatureEscape #exploretheoutdoors #overland #carcamping #dispersedcamping 00:00 - Intro 00:28 - Medicine Lodge Canyon and Surrounding Area (BLM) 02:01 - Crazy Woman Canyon 02:32 - Bridger-Teton National Forest 03:20 - Established Campgrounds 03:38 - Shoshone National Forest 03:58 - Ghost Town of Kirwin 05:35 - Outlaw Cave Campground 06:23 - Medicine Bow National Forest
