One More Season. (My POV)

One More Season, is a song inspired about me actually, I love doing sports and it's what inspires me to keep going, along with my parents support. I hope you all enjoy. lyrics: [Intro] They said... "He ain't gonna make it." "He doesn't have a future." Funny how the same voices... Started cheering when I started winning. [Verse 1] I grew up hearing "not enough," Like every dream was way too much. No golden path, no easy name, Just hoping somehow things would change. Then I found a pair of worn-out shoes, A finish line I couldn't lose. Every mile rewrote my fate, Every sunrise made me stay. Suddenly the doubters changed their tone, "That kid might make it on his own." [Pre-Chorus] Funny how belief arrives... Only after sacrifice. [Chorus] I wasn't born ahead of anyone. I just refused to stop the run. Every scar became my proof, Every step rebuilt my truth. If the road keeps breaking me apart... Then I'll keep running with my heart. Because a dream won't wait for fear... I've still got one more year. [Verse 2 – Freshman] Freshman fall, the wind felt free, Cross country started believing in me. Every finish opened doors, People finally wanted more. Then spring came with another test, Track said, "You're not one of the best." Grades fell short... I lost my place. Watching others run my race. But while they slept... I stayed outside. Every lonely mile replied. [Verse 3 – Sophomore] Sophomore season, everything clicked. Seventeen twenty-one... the work had finally hit. First across the finish tape, Dreams no longer felt so far away. Then the mile became my home. Four thirty-five... I wasn't done. Two-oh-one inside the eight... Every stride challenged fate. People stopped asking if I belonged. They started wondering... How much faster I'd become. [Bridge] The stopwatch doesn't know your pain. It only knows your time. [Verse 4 – Junior] Junior came with bigger dreams. Sixteen twenty-one... chasing bigger things. My name echoed through every meet, Some feared me before we'd even compete. But fate doesn't ask before it strikes. One injury... One moment... One stolen fight. Four thirty-five... again... again... Watching time become a chain. Coach said I had something more. Maybe four twenty-five... Maybe even faster. I'll never know. [Breakdown] They smiled when I slowed down. Talked behind my back. Thought I couldn't hear them. Thought I'd finally crack. Until one day... My mom walked by. "Hey... shut it." "That's his mom." If you only respect me when I'm not around... Then your words were never worth carrying. [Final Chorus – Explosive] Now senior year is standing at my door! I'm not the kid I was before! I've lost races! I've lost seasons! I've lost chances! I've lost reasons! But I NEVER LOST THE WILL TO RUN! Every setback lit the sun! Every failure built my name! Every scar became my flame! You can doubt me one last time... Watch me answer on the line! This isn't where my story ends! This is where I rise again! [Outro] One month... One final season. I'm not running to prove them wrong anymore. I'm running... Because somewhere... The freshman who got kicked off the team... Still believes... I can become... The runner he always dreamed I'd be.
