Political tensions have reached a boiling point, and racial injustice is rife. We take sides, we “other” those with whom disagree, and we vilify those who see things differently. But we follow a Saviour who instructs us to “love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Matthew 5:44), and who prayed for his followers that, “they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me” (John 17:23). So what does it look like to build a counter-cultural community in a world of individualism?
