Projeto Educacional de Bio Design - Linha do Tucum

Since January 2018, the Céu dos Estorrões Ecological Village, in the state of Amazonas, has been hosting the Bio Design educational project. This project promotes the self-sustainable management of non-timber and timber forest materials, which is crucial for forest preservation and income generation for families of traditional Amazonian peoples. Highlights include the production of tucum fiber yarn in various dyes and açaí seeds processed and dyed with Pignol (a Santo Daime residue) in a gradient effect, using a technique developed exclusively in the workshop. The project is supported by ICEFLU and will continue throughout 2019 and 2020. Check out a bit of this journey and continue following this and other stories here on the Jagube Channel. Long live the Amazon Rainforest!
