Not in their methods, but certainly in their point. The Phantom of the Opera lived his entire life being rejected because of his appearance. Shylock was discriminated against for years. When he finally demanded what they had agreed upon, the world called him a monster. Medea gave up everything for Jason. He abandoned her with nothing. Her crime was unforgivable. But its origin was absolute betrayal. Javert wasn't cruel. He was consistent to a fault. And Lucifer did just one thing: he asked why.
