Minolta SRT Super (S/N 1092907) Front Plate & Mirror Box Disassembly
Separating the front base frame (front plate and mirror box) from the main body casting on a 1973 Minolta SRT Super (S/N 1092907). This is Part 2 of the main teardown. I released some Shorts in between showing the escapement and focusing screen removal. I am new to the whole YouTube thing, so I will get better organized over time. Wiggling the linkages apart is tricky. Usually, the winding mechanism should be released so the frame separates easily, but if it binds, carefully winding and releasing the shutter during the process helps clear the gears. Short guide. I spoke a bit in this one to explain the process. Mostly raw workbench sounds. It edges on ASMR.
