Biological Therapy For Crohns Disease (IBD) In A Young Girl

Ishana has had Crohns disease (Inflammatory bowel disease) since many years. Her condition has been severe and has been on steroids since many years and started to show side effects of steroids while the disease yet continued uncontrolled. When she came to Dr Sharat Varma at Max Hospital for a pediatric gastroenterology consultation, she was started on biological therapy. She has responded very well to this treatment and now is steroid free while her disease is under complete control (remission) for the first time since her diagnosis many years ago.
