Attaque au couteau : réagir sans réfléchir (Systema – Max Franz – Vol. 1)

Excerpt from our summer camp with Max Franz (2009) – “Knife Defense” Day – Volume 1. In this clip, Max demonstrates a natural reaction to survive a knife attack to the abdomen. The starting point is simple: 👉 move the target to avoid direct impact. Two types of follow-up are then demonstrated: 1- Immediate Arm Intervention The arms arrive at the right moment to deflect the knife's trajectory. 2- Escape First, Arms Second The body moves out of the line of attack, then the arms intervene with a slight delay. In both cases, the next steps involve: manipulating the arm joints weakening the grip disarming the opponent using the knife against the opponent or taking them to the ground ⚠️ Key Points Max emphasizes several key elements: the attacker must be honest and committed start slowly, without excessive speed accept being exposed (back, side) and know how to react after contact remain relaxed enough to adapt without delay 👉 The goal is not perfect technique, but the ability to react under real pressure. Warning: Watching videos is good, but to be truly effective in the street, regular training with a qualified instructor is essential.
