UniFi Access: One Reader, Three Doors! LPR + Home Assistant (2 Garages + Side Gate)

In this video I show how to control TWO garage doors and a side gate using ONE UniFi reader (G3 Pro or G3 Flex), a Gate Hub + Door Hub, and Home Assistant. We route the reader’s PIN/card events via a webhook so “Left / Right / Gate” each trigger a different relay—clean, fast, and fully local. ⚙️ What I’m using • UniFi Access Gate Hub + Door Hub • UniFi G3 Reader (Pro or Flex) on “Side Door” • Home Assistant (local), HACS UniFi Access integration • Garage motors (dry contact “wall button” inputs) • Optional: LPR in UniFi Protect 🧭 Top-level plan 1) Wire hubs as dry, momentary ~1s to each opener 2) In UniFi Access: create doors (Garage Left, Garage Right, Side Gate) + assign reader to “Side Door” 3) Create 3 users: Left / Right / Gate (PINs or cards) 4) Point UniFi → HA via webhook; build a HA automation (Choose → 3 routes) 5) Bench test → Install → Lock down access so only “Gate” opens Side Door natively Thank you MS Dist for sponsoring this video.
