Ask for Angela - Personal Safety Campaign - Bradford District - West Yorkshire Police

The Bradford District ‘Ask for Angela’ promotional video has been launched and is being distributed around the district to raise awareness. The safety campaign aims to help people keep safe, prevent harm, and reduce violence and harassment, particularly in hospitality setting around the Bradford District. It is fully inclusive so that anybody visiting venues can ‘Ask for Angela’ to discreetly signal to staff that they feel unsafe or uncomfortable and require assistance. The Neighbourhood Support Team have been working closely with partners such as Safer Bradford, Bradford Council and Bradford BID to raise awareness of the campaign and to offer support. Currently, over 250 venues across the district have signed up to participate in the scheme and have received training and resource packs to display in their premises. Ask for Angela is part of Bradford Districts ongoing work to promote personal safety and address violence against women and girls. If you would like to support the scheme in your venue or to receive further information, please contact James Clarke – [email protected] or Becki O’Grady - rebecca.o’[email protected]
