NO.206 西伊豆【白石】南から北上してきた怪物か？ 2026年5月中旬

Lately, I haven't heard many good things about West Izu. But for some reason, I felt compelled to go and check it out, and when I did, there was a long period of no bites. I did get one bite, but it was a monster with an incredible pull that I lost. I've lost fish like this many times in West Izu, so I headed back to West Izu to find out what it was. However, it was the same situation as last time—no bites. There was also a red tide nearby, so I didn't feel like I would catch anything. But then I saw a fisherman with a bent rod on the opposite rock. If they were catching fish over there, the sea conditions couldn't be bad. I considered moving to another spot, but considering the amount of chum I had, I didn't have enough for a second round, so I continued, believing that I would catch something. Then, a full seven hours after starting, I got another bite from a fish with an incredible pull. This time I was using a higher-level rig, so I fought it forcefully, prepared to lose it, but somehow I managed to bring it up without letting it get away! It turned out to be that huge one!
