York Raceway 1984

Also known as 'Melbourne Raceway' this drag strip was a popular venue for drag racing. I don't know when racing started there, but I was a regular attendee in the 1980's. This video was not shot as a professional piece of work but I've posted it purely for nostalgia. It's great to see Nick Mann's Morris Minor which won the 'UK Streetcar championships' quite a few times in the 80's. There's also Steve Murty's Jet truck which always pulled a crowd.
