Canal Sur Television] José Antonio Morante Camacho (La Puebla del Río, Seville, October 2, 1979) is known as Morante de la Puebla. He debuted with picadors on April 16, 1994, in Guillena (Seville). He took his alternative (became a full-fledged bullfighter) on June 29, 1997, in the Burgos bullring, and on April 21, 1998, he made his debut at La Maestranza in Seville. He has fought bulls both in Spain and in the Americas. The Spanish Ministry of Culture awarded Morante de la Puebla the 2021 National Bullfighting Prize "...for the unique creative personality of an artist who recreates and renews classic bullfighting for today's audience." 1979: October 2.
