BOSCH 600Wh Battery Range in Turbo with the BOSCH CX Gen 5 Motor with 100Nm and 750W #ebike #emtb #boschebike The long-awaited Bosch Performance Update to 100Nm and 750W, including the new EMTB+ mode, will finally arrive in mid-July 2025. Of course, more power also means more energy consumption, and today I want to try to find out what that specifically means for the range with a Bosch PowerTube 600Wh battery. Many of the newly introduced EMTBs for 2025 and 2026, such as the Santa Cruz Vala, have a permanently installed 600Wh battery. This means that it can't be quickly swapped on the go like on my M1 EN 600 CX. And if, like me, you've installed the new Bosch Performance Update and spend a lot of time riding in Turbo mode, the range will of course be significantly reduced. So I completely drained the 600Wh battery in turbo mode to see how far and how high I could go. My total rider weight (bike + gear + me) is currently just under 100kg, and I'm running Schwalbe Albert Gravity Radial tires with 1.7 and 1.9 bar air pressure on the rear.
