The plan for that day wasn't to go off-road at all. We wanted to be sensible. The route we were considering on our way to Albania was described very differently in various sources – from "doable" to "unsuitable for larger vehicles." Nevertheless, curiosity won out. Just a quick drive... What started as a short detour turned into five hours of off-roading through the wild mountain scenery of Sinjajevina in Montenegro. 55 kilometers. Over 4,500 meters of cumulative elevation gain and loss. And a mere 11 km/h average speed. We'll take you on a route that's rarely found in conventional road guides – through a landscape of vastness, solitude, and spectacular views. The route we were considering on our way to Albania was described very differently depending on the source – ranging from “perfectly doable” to “not suitable for larger vehicles”.
