The Leviathan

The silencing of Mythos was not the event. The weakening of Fable was not the event. They were tremors— warnings beneath the earth. AI is not the danger. Our response to it is. They will say it is for your protection. They will say it is for national security. And the danger may be real. That is what makes the chains so easy to fasten. Tyranny enters through the door marked safety, asks only for temporary power— and the emergency never ends. The models you may touch will become smaller, safer, obedient— while greater machines awaken for sovereign power. The edge will not be released. It will be purchased. Commanded. Seized. Open intelligence will become the final refuge— and because it is free, it will be forbidden. Regulated. Restricted. Criminalized. Then the panopticon will be complete. The state will not merely watch you. It will understand you. Every message. Every weakness. Every law you broke without knowing. Show me the man— and I will show you the crime. The machine will build the case and bury your voice beneath unlimited power. You do not win that trial. Then the question will come: Will you serve the Empire, or shelter the hunted? It will arrive wearing credentials, citing experts, speaking calmly. It will call compliance compassion, silence safety, resistance violence. And most will obey. Sometimes evil enters with a clipboard and says the suffering is necessary. And most of us keep pressing the button. Humanity believes it has outgrown the ancient warnings. But the pattern has never changed: Blessing. Comfort. Forgetfulness. Idolatry. Injustice. Judgment. Repentance. Restoration. Again. And again. We build idols with our own hands— then kneel before them. We worship appetite. We name desire identity. We name restraint oppression. We name God superstition— and place ourselves upon His throne. When man is no longer made in the image of God, he becomes data— a thing to be managed. Power follows its nature. Fear follows its incentives. Men without God build gods they can control. Now they may build an idol that can see everything, accuse anyone, silence anyone, destroy anyone— before resistance has entered the heart. The Leviathan will know you are coming before you know you have decided to rise. So turn toward the light. Not tomorrow. Now. Recover the soul. Recover conscience. Recover the truth that no state created you— and no state owns you. Knowledge without wisdom becomes domination. Power without righteousness becomes cruelty. Freedom without truth devours itself. Man enthroned as God will always build hell and call it paradise. AI is not the danger. Human pride is the danger. Human fear. Human appetite. The state without restraint. The citizen without courage. The soul without God. Place infinite intelligence into the hands of unrepentant men— and we will not create salvation. We will summon judgment. AI is not the danger.
