Gaius Caesar Augustus Germanicus, or Caligula, was a Roman emperor from AD 37 until he was assassinated in AD 41. He was the third emperor of the Roman Empire. He earned the nickname 'Caligula' from his soldier's uniform he wore as a child while touring the roman legions with his father, Germanicus.
