Uses of the Tamboti tree | EcoTraining Bush Hacks l EcoTraining
We join EcoTraining Training Manager David Havemann in our latest episode of Bush Hacks. Today we look at the magnificent yet dangerous Tamboti tree; and the incredible use the wood offers, which is used among local cultures. When the wood of the Tamboti tree burns, the smoke has a very distinctive scent - A lot of Tribes will describe it as the sandalwood of Africa! Be careful not to use the wood of the Tamboti as firewood for a braai, as the smoke might taint your food, and you can experience some problems with your digestive system. The smoke from the Tamboti can be harmful. What is your favourite use of the Tamboti Tree? Drop us a comment below and let us know; we would love to hear from you.
