These events are known as **free parties**. Free entry, techno music, sound systems, food stands, caravans, and social diversity: an entire culture has developed in response to clubs and legal festivals that were gradually losing their appeal. Today, these events could disappear, as the government intends to crack down on them through the new RIPOST law. In this YouTube documentary, I went to meet the people who keep this movement alive, attending two different free parties and immersing myself among those who continue to celebrate freely. I met ravers from all walks of life who agreed to explain why they prefer these events to traditional clubs. And for the first time, I was able to interview one of the organizers! *Chapters:* 00:00 – Introduction 01:12 – Free Party #1 04:40 – Police Check 05:58 – Free Party #2 10:55 – Sponsored Segment 11:55 – The Scene 14:13 – The RIPOST Law 15:18 – Consequences of the Law 20:57 – Protected Area and LDH 22:27 – The History of Free Parties 22:59 – Former Raver 27:20 – The Stalls 28:34 – Harm Reduction 32:17 – The Breakdown 33:08 – The Organizer *Editing:* Yanis Ben Jelloun *Interns:* Émile Sanchez and Nicolas Ménager *Editorial Advice:* Mathias Hillion *Thumbnail:* Tanguy Meganiniyt *Logo and Visual Identity:* Collectif Blakhat and Paul Nava *Theme Music:* Maskey and Paul Nava *Music:* @tomfoxcatalog *Useful Links:* https://www.vie-publique.fr/loi/30256... *About Me:* For eight years at Clique, I conducted interviews (Clique Talk and Clique & Chill), hosted a series of internet personality profiles (Mode Portrait), and later produced segments for Clique on Canal+ focusing on unusual internet and technology trends. I then spent a year embedded in the France Info morning newsroom covering politics for the documentary *Service Public*, which was released in theaters. I also work with other media outlets such as Le Parisien, GQ, and Vogue. And now I'm here too :) Musique : 🎵 Copyrighted music licensed from Lickd. https://lickd.co Requiem in D Minor, K. 626: VIII.
