Jacob Zhimomi Minister, PHED, GoN inaugurated Asukhomi village bicentenary gate on January, 21 2022.

Jacob Zhimomi Minister for PHED, Govt of Nagaland inaugurated the Asukhomi village gate today January, 21, 2022 as a Special Guest. The gate was instilled for the upcoming commemoration of 200 years of establishment of Asukhomi village, Zunheboto district which is scheduled to be observed on March 2022. In the inaugural program, Zhimomi said, we should be thankful to God for keeping us safe during these hard times.He said he was hopeful that the instillation of this gate in commemoration of 200 Bicentennial years of village establishment will bring blessing to the Asukhomi Village. He prayed that may the installation of this gate usher-in the both the material and moral blessing, and peace and prosperity that the village has been yearning to attain, and may it shield the village from all the misfortunes that had to befall upon the villagers, and implored that may God bestow blessing to all the people who walked into this gate. Further he said in his speech that attaining the commemoration of 200 years is not an easy feat, and therefore it is time that people should elevate their morals and way of life in every aspects. In the reception programme Ghukato Khuju Hd. G.B Asukho old expressed his gratitude to the Minister for donating the Village Gate from his own expenses and also for the construction of approach road connecting at Asukhomi village back when he was the Parliamentary Secretary of Irrigation and Flood Control. He also said that it is through his initiatives a new water pipeline connectivity has reached Asukhomi under PHED department and wished a Centenary Celebration blessing may shower upon him. After the inaugural program of Asukhomi village gate a short reception programme was held at Asukho old where indigenous cultural song and dances were performed by the cultural troupe of Asukhomi village. Earlier, Yekali Associate Pastor Youth chaired the program and inaugural prayer was pronounced by Bento Zhimo, Pastor, Asukhomi Village Baptist Church and welcome speech was delivered by Vikato Khuju, Chairman VCC, Hd. GB Asukho new. Wherein, Peter Lichamo, Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto, Khekali Y. Sema (NPS) SP Zunheboto, Khehoshe Yepthomi, President NDPP Zunheboto Division, Vitoka Aye, General Secretary, Satoi Range Public Union Zunheboto (SRPUZ), BJP Zunheboto division and other delegates accompanied the hon'ble special guest.
