In this video, we begin a new series exploring the department of Cerro Largo, in northeastern Uruguay. The journey starts on Route 7 towards the departmental capital, Melo. Along the way, we stop in the first town in Cerro Largo: Fraile Muerto, where we explore some of its most well-known spots, such as its main square and campground. Then we continue our journey and visit the small town of Bañado de Medina, a quiet and little-known spot in the Uruguayan countryside. Finally, we continue our trip to Melo, the capital of the department of Cerro Largo, where this series of journeys will continue, showcasing the history, landscapes, and curiosities of this region of the country.
