The Setup: The welding in this episode is done 100% inside of a purge chamber, which makes the setup a little different than normal welding conditions. In order to be successful when welding in a purge chamber, the setup is possibly the most important part. In this episode you will see how to calculate the amount of time needed to adequately purge the oxygen out of the chamber, as well as what measures to take to make sure you are most productive. The Welding: Titanium welding requires a certain amount of gas shielding that can make it difficult to get perfect results. When welding in a purge chamber, the welder no longer needs to spend extra time with post flow, because the entire work piece is completely submerged in Argon gas 100% of the time.
