Replay 2025 | A Metal Tribute to the History of Video Games

Replay 2025: A Metal Tribute to the History of Video Games by FamilyJules ▼ The Definitive Through The Ages Medley of Video Game Music from 1972 to 2025 ▼ (Tabs For All Parts Available on Patreon!) ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▼▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ This medley is currently only available as a Patreon Exclusive Medley due to Copyright. I am currently working on trying to make this available on streaming services. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▼▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Exactly one year ago, I opened up a fresh project file to take on my third attempt to make the greatest possible tribute to the history of video game music. This time, I was going to do it with Replay 2024. It would be the 10 year anniversary of my first go at this concept back in 2014 when I was a young 20 something year old boy in his mom’s house with a green screen and a dream. Five years later, I tried again with Replay 2019 and still felt I could have done better even after a grueling month of nonstop work. The original medley was 45 minutes long and with the help of my Patrons on Patreon, I was able to cut it down to the 24 minutes it is here while switching out songs to not only give focus to different songs than I’ve done before, but for the first time get one game per year from 1972 to now and also adhere to a no repeating franchise rule to show off as many different games as possible. During the selection, I read every comment from the first two Replays and took note of every game that was missed. You can thank those comment sections for my selection of 1986 and more. I gave it everything I had and vowed to do my absolute best work to date, but my best work to date could not be done in a month. It was clear I was going to miss the 5 year interval I set for myself to update the Replay project, so I focused on creating the best arrangement I could while I waited for the game that would be the final song in the medley. I couldn’t be prouder of this project. I spent the last month having my most trusted friends review it to make sure it’s as close to perfect as I can achieve and I hope the attention to detail and thousands of hours poured into this project will come through in the final result. All of the visuals of this video were hand done by me, there was absolutely no generative AI used in this video and to achieve my vision of this video, I took the time to learn color correcting with power grading, Custom Davinci Fusion Effects, DMX Stage Lighting, Python Scripting, and much more just to be able to carefully craft this project. I hit a crossroads in 2024. I had to decide if I was going to continue down the path I’d been following to grow my channel, or go back to the original reason I made videos in the first place. The constant strain of chasing trends and reaching for virality destroyed my desire to create, I realized I had to make something big. When I look back at the projects I’m most proud of, it’s not the random video game covers I’d churn out to have a weekly video. It was the Mario Medley, Replay, the Top 10 Medleys… these huge projects that defied my own expectations of what I can achieve. This is the greatest manifestation of that on this channel to date. Video games and music mean everything to me so it is my honor to share its rich and beautiful history with all of you in this too loud heavy metal medley. Thank you for playing. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▼▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Follow me! 🐦 https://x.com/FamilyJules7x 📘   / familyjules7x   🕹   / familyjules   💬   / discord   📷   / familyjules7x   If you'd like to support me, pledge to me on Patreon or buy my music! 🧡   / familyjules7x   🥁 http://familyjules7x.bandcamp.com/ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▼▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Proudly endorsed by: Ernie Ball Strings (https://www.ernieball.com/) Schecter Guitars (http://www.schecterguitars.com/) ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▼▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Arranged, Recorded, Mixed, Mastered, Filmed, Edited by: Jules Conroy Handicam filming by: MeGoHeHe ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▼▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Instruments Used: Lead Guitar: Ernie Ball Music Man Majesty Rhythm Guitar: Schecter Banshee Elite-7 Bass: Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray-5 Mixer: SSL 12 Audio Software: Cubase 14 Video Software: Davinci Resolve Video Camera: Panasonic Lumix GH5s 1972 – 0:27 1973 – 0:47 1974 – 0:56 1975 – 1:03 1976 – 1:11 1977 – 1:22 1978 – 1:33 1979 – 1:44 1980 – 2:05 1981 – 2:20 1982 – 2:41 1983 – 3:04 1984 – 3:23 1985 – 3:38 1986 – 3:59 1987 – 4:27 1988 – 4:49 1989 – 5:18 1990 – 5:44 1991 – 6:10 1992 – 6:31 1993 – 6:58 1994 – 7:29 1995 – 7:51 1996 – 8:27 1997 – 8:44 1998 – 9:13 1999 – 9:47 2000 – 10:09 2001 – 10:31 2002 – 10:56 2003 – 11:25 2004 – 11:55 2005 – 12:33 2006 – 12:55 2007 – 13:10 2008 – 13:35 2009 – 14:03 2010 – 14:29 2011 – 14:57 2012 – 15:24 2013 – 15:42 2014 – 16:13 2015 – 16:34 2016 – 17:01 2017 – 17:32 2018 – 18:01 2019 – 18:17 2020 – 18:40 2021 – 19:05 2022 – 19:37 2023 – 20:03 2024 – 20:30 2025 – 21:17 #familyjules #videogames #metal
