First Engine Start After the Overhaul

In this video I install the engine wiring harness, the M50 manifold, ECU, and other miscellaneous pieces required for starting up the engine. Overall, everything installed relatively smoothly. My best advice for installing the engine harness is to lay it out and verify where the connectors go by routing them to where they will normally sit. With the M50 manifold conversion some items are located in different places but it's just a process of elimination. Fortunately, the engine started up almost right away and is running nice and smoothly. To get the engine started safely I pulled the fuel pump relay to crank the engine over and build oil pressure. I then put the fuel pump relay back in to cycle the pump on and off. I bled some air from the fuel rail by depressing the Schroeder valve on the fuel rail. You may hear a tick from the upper end but that's due to the lifters being completely dry.
