Emma is shocked to see Killian after all this time but agrees to let him stay with her and Henry as she tries to figure out what place Killian should have in their lives. One day, Henry goes to investigate an abandoned area and ends up hurt. Emma, terrified of losing her son, finds some comfort in Killian and after Henry gets back home the two former lovers find their way back to each other.
