The Roches Speak!: 1989 promo interview with Ed Sciaky
"The Roches Speak!" A great interview from 1989 with Maggie, Terre and Suzzy by veteran college/alternative radio DJ Ed Sciaky. "The Roches Speak!" was a cassette-only promotional release from 1989, while the band was promoting their MCA Records album Speak. A number of album cuts from various albums were originally included between interview segments, but I removed them from this video in order to avoid copyright issues. Highlights include the band talking about what it was like working with Robert Fripp, Paul Simon, Carter Cathcart, and opening for Boz Scaggs on their first large-scale tour (it didn't go well). From the liner notes: "The Roches Speak! This interview recording contains some great music and facts from The Roches' past, present and your future, as well as some very juicy intimate tidbits on a myriad of subjects. Produced and edited by Ed Sciaky. Engineered by Bill Kates. Executive producer: Marty Scott. Thanks to Mark Chernoff for providing studio time."
