SCHUMANN Cello concerto Francesco Mander Radu Aldulescu
SCHUMANN (1810 – 1856) composed his cello concerto op. 129 in 1850. The work has three movements but there is no real interval between them. The movements are: 1. Nicht zu schnell 2. Langsam 3. Sehr lebhaft The cellist Radu Aldulescu and conductor Francesco Mander performed it on September 13 1974 in the Pretoria City Hall accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra.
