World of Warships - USS Laffey Dockyard Construction Process (with 1940s style jazz and blues)
The USS Laffey was a U.S Navy Allen M. Sumner class destroyer that made quite a name for herself when she took on 45 Japanese kamikaze aircraft by herself and survived despite taking serious damage. Now she's preserved as a museum ship in Charleston, South Carolina. With her status as a real steel historical ship, and her famous moment in history, it was only a matter of time before she became a ship in World of Warships, and that's just what happened when Update 14.17 rolled around. Usually, when these dockyard ships are introduced, I do try to participate, but I wind up not getting these ships to avoid being a stereotypical wallet warrior who throws their wallet at the game to get every ship they want (the one exception being the Wisconsin over a year ago). However, in the case of the Laffey, I made so much progress on her during the "In the Name of Tomorrow" event that I eventually decided that she would be a great addition to my fleet, and that her construction process would make a good video on this channel. So, the day before the Laffey dockyard was removed from the game, I recorded footage from different angles to make a more engaging and interesting video than the Wisconsin dockyard process. Taking a page of the book of YouTuber @PrivatePinguinPlays, I decided to set this video to music as well, along with having panning and zooming shots to add some depth to the construction process. I will say that I feel like I haven't fully learned how to use my Laffey, but I still think she's a good ship for the gimmicks she's included with.
