RAAF Beaufighter FULL BUILD | Airfix 1/72 Milne Bay Double Build

Welcome to the full build and review of my Airfix 1/72 Bristol Beaufighter double build for my upcoming Battle of Milne Bay stop-motion film! This video combines all three previous episodes into one complete project, following the journey from cockpit assembly and conversion work through to camouflage painting, weathering, and the final reveal. In this full build: 🔹 Building two Airfix Beaufighters as RAAF No. 30 Squadron aircraft 🔹 Converting the Airfix TF.X into earlier Mk.IC variants 🔹 Painting RAF-style camouflage schemes used on UK-built RAAF aircraft 🔹 Applying custom decals designed by me and printed by Laser Shark Designs 🔹 Weathering with enamel washes, oil paints, chipping, and exhaust staining 🔹 Installing new 3D printed wheels and exhausts 🔹 Rigging wire, vacuform canopy experiments, and final detailing 🔹 A small enamel thinner mishap… and how I tried to recover from it The aircraft represented in this project are: ✈️ A19-13 — lost in a collision before seeing combat ✈️ A19-53 — later involved in attacks against retreating Japanese forces and the Battle of the Bismarck Sea Both aircraft were among the first Beaufighters operated by RAAF No. 30 Squadron around the time of the Milne Bay campaign.
