Now, in 2026, several programs have been announced to address the backlog of the last seven years, such as the construction of the new 2025 "Yucatán Class" OPVs and the addition of 36 aircraft to the Mexican Naval Air Fleet. It would be important to resume this program so that the POLA 101, Mexico's most modern ship, would have full combat capabilities. Currently, the authorization for the purchase remains valid.
