The plugin portion allows the MIDI messages to be perceived as actual encoder rotations, rather than using commands to fake it like 'Attribute "Pan" At + 1', for example. This allows the encoders to work as expected with Align functions, as well as any functionality associated with the encoder presses, such as forcing coarse resolution and horizontal page scrolling.
